Using aerial photographs of playgrounds, imagine the structures in basic geometric shapes from a side view.

I had a lot of issues with my tools this time round — using so many different pens and markers led to a lot of smudging which was covering up my work (particularly in the octagonal drawing) so I used some white out just on the smudging to help my drawing be seen. I found the octagonal drawing very difficult in general, even without smudging, and spent a good hour on that alone. However, I am not wholly disappointed with my final spread. I realized I had to re-remember the general construction tropes of playgrounds (although, having a background in teaching young kids, I probably have more of a mental reference of playgrounds than those who don’t interact with young people) — particularly how different levels are connected through ladders, steps, or other connecting assets.
